Name

Data processing

Purpose pursued

Present the information of the user on the website, in order to initiate a connection with Co-Founders.

Legal basis justifying the processing

User consent to registration by means of a checkbox.

Obligatory or optional nature of the collection of personal data

If the user refuses the collection of their data, their account will not be created, their data will not be recorded, and will therefore not be present on the site.

Recipients of personal data

The user's data will be retained until their account is deleted.

Internet user rights

Managing your data

The user can delete their account as well as all their data from their account page, or simply modify part of their data.

Cookies and local storage

Nothing that tracks you runs before you say yes. The banner sets one key and, until it reads “accepted”, no analytics script is loaded at all.

Strictly necessary — always on

  • jwt — the cookie that keeps you signed in. HTTP-only, so no script can read it. 30 days.
  • next-auth session — the same sign-in, held by the app itself.
  • fyc-consent — the choice you made on the banner, so we stop asking. Local storage, not a cookie, and never sent anywhere.
  • fyc-slack-popup, fyc-viewed-… — remember that you dismissed the Slack invite and that a profile view was already counted. Local storage, same story.

Analytics — only after you accept

  • Google Tag Manager — loads the measurement below. Google is the processor; see their privacy notice.
  • Hotjar — aggregate view of how pages are used, so we can tell which parts confuse people. Hotjar is the processor.

Decline and neither is ever requested. To change your mind, clear this site’s data in your browser and the banner returns.

Hosting metrics

Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights record anonymous page and performance counts. They set no cookies and identify no one, which is why they are not behind the banner.

Keeping and deleting

Your profile stays until you delete it, which you can do yourself from the profile page at any time. Deleting removes you from the index, from search, from the sitemap and from every list on the site.

Your email address is never published. It is stripped from every public response, so it does not reach the page or anyone reading it. When another founder writes to you through the site, we deliver the message with their address as the reply-to — they learn yours only if you choose to reply.

To access, correct or erase your data, or to object to any of the above, write to sebastien@selego.co. You also have the right to complain to the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, the Dutch data protection authority.
